What personal data we collect and why
Contact forms
We collect your name, email address, phone number and the content of your enquiry in order to respond to enquiries. By submitting the form, you consent to us storing this data and contacting you. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Web analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics to analyse usage patterns. The information is used to improve the website. This involves storing anonymised IP addresses via cookies. The information is deleted automatically after 14 months. You can manage your use of cookies yourself.
The information collected by Google Analytics is stored on Google’s servers in the USA. The data received is subject to Google’s privacy policy.
Your IP address is also logged for a short period by our web servers. The user’s IP address, time, web address, HTTP status, number of bytes sent, HTTP referer and HTTP user agent are logged for 15 days. The log is then deleted automatically.
Search
This website stores information about which search terms users use on our websites via Google Analytics. The purpose is to improve the information we offer. Search usage patterns are stored in aggregated form. Only the search term is stored, and it cannot be linked to other information about users, such as IP addresses.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited the website the content comes from. We recommend reading the privacy policy of the website in question.
Share/tip service
The “Share with others” function can be used to forward links to the website by email, or to share the content on social networks such as Facebook or Twitter. Sharing happens directly, without any data being stored by us. However, we cannot guarantee that the social network does not log this information. If you use the email function, we only use the email addresses provided to forward the message, without storing them.
